SCGC Warranty Policy

1. GENERAL
1.1 SCGC warrants its equipment to be free from defects in design, material and workmanship under the condition of proper use with generator set specification and performance agreed by the parties of SCGC and user.
1.2 Repair or replacement:
SCGC warrants to bear any repair or replacement charge under terms of this warranty (see item 2 hereinafter stated) with the defects in design, material and workmanship.
1.3 The warranty service will be proceeded by authorized Service Center. The repair service will be furnished with unit replacement if the estimated repair charge (see item 3.2 hereinafter stated) is over 80% of the unit purchase amount.

2. WARRANTY PERIOD
2.1 The warranty period of generator set, excluding the parts stated below, is two years after the date of shipment from the manufacturer’s plant or twenty-seven months from the manufactured date, whichever comes first. The warranty period of the parts stated below are twelve (12) months from the delivery date, such as starter motor, alternator, dynamo, belts, fuel injection nozzle valve etc. The parts exempt from warranty application are: coolant, lubricating oil, fuel filter element, oil filter cartridge.
2.2 The warranty period of the Replacement Parts for repair is ninety(90) days from the date of replacement or the balance of the unexpired warranty period of the parts, whichever expires later.

3. PAYMENT
3.1 Warranty service will be proceeded by authorized Service Center without charge to the owner for material or labor.
3.2 Non-warranty service and repair service in item 4.3 will be proceeded by authorized Service Center. The material and labor charge shall be born on user.

4. WARRANTY LIMITATION
4.1 Misuse and lack of proper maintenance:
This Warranty Policy shall not cover any damage caused by lack of proper maintenance, wear or damage caused by improper protection during storage, inadequate transportation or accident.
4.2 Causes of trouble other than defects in generator set.:
This Warranty Policy shall not cover any trouble or damage caused by the following:

(a) If any daily maintenance and periodical maintenance services instructed by the operation manual of product are not performed.
(b) If any parts or accessories of generator set are modified or altered by anyone without SCGC’s approval or direction.
(c) If any trouble or damage to generator set is caused by non-use of SCGC’s genuine parts, except those approved by SCGC.
4.3 Successor Owners:
This Warranty Policy shall not apply to generator set if the original retail purchaser has sold such generator set to others.
4.4 Consequential Damage:
This Warranty Policy shall not cover any incidental or consequential damage or injuries, including but not limited to, loss of crops, loss of profits, rental of substitute equipment or other commercial losses.

5. Except there is definite items in the sales contract, this warranty is exclusive and in lieu of any other warranties, expressed or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose which are hereby disclaimed.
